Deep dives into iPad productivity, Obsidian workflows, and the craft of writing—from a military veteran and novelist who’s spent years optimizing how we work with technology.

Hi, I'm Jordan

I’m a Senior Project Manager by day, published novelist by passion, and productivity obsessive by nature.

My background is unconventional: I served in the military, wrote a novel called Living on Empty (available on Amazon and Apple Books), and was named a “Top Writer” on Medium.com back in 2018 when that still meant something.

These days, I’m fascinated by the gap between what our devices promise and what they actually deliver. The iPad Pro has desktop-class hardware but hobbled software. Obsidian can transform how you think, but only if you configure it right. Great writing tools exist, but they won’t write for you.

That’s what this newsletter explores: the practical reality of using technology to create meaningful work.

What You’ll Find Here:

→ iPad & iPadOS deep dives – Why Apple’s tablet still can’t replace your laptop (and what might change that)

→ Obsidian workflows – Complete guides to project management, digital gardens, and knowledge systems

→ Writing craft – From overcoming writer’s block to building sustainable creative habits

→ Honest tech analysis – No sponsored content, no affiliate links, just my actual experience

I use AI tools for editing and refinement, but every idea and argument is mine. Think of it as having a tireless editor who catches the grammatical gremlins so I can focus on the thinking.
